TAKE CARE OF YOUR LINGERIE AS IT DESERVES
Because choosing the perfect lingerie for us is as important as taking care of it.
You probably think you store your lingerie properly, but you'd be surprised to learn that more than 50% of our customers don't store it as they should. The same goes for washing it; you might think washing lingerie is like washing any other piece of clothing, right? Well, no, Singular girl, if you want it to last much longer, looking perfect, as if it were brand new, let me tell you that washing it requires a little more delicacy.
In today's article, we're going to give you two tips (for washing and also for preserving it) that you won't want to miss, for sure ;)
Basic tips for washing lingerie:
·Avoid fabric softeners; they damage the elastic. A little soap (preferably pH-neutral) is more than enough.
·Avoid long wash and spin cycles; it's not necessary. Lingerie items are not exposed to the outside; they only get dirty from contact with our body, mainly from sweat, and therefore, the dirt they might have doesn't require so much time in a washing machine.
·ALWAYS avoid using a dryer; excessive heat dries out the elastic and shortens its "life." It's better to let it air dry, and be careful! They shouldn't be exposed to the sun for many hours, as it's not only harsh but also fades colors.
·Avoid adding items with velcro or protruding parts to the same wash, as they can snag and tear our more delicate lingerie, such as those made with lace, silk, or delicate fabrics.
Our advice, as good corsetières, is to use laundry bags for lingerie. They are designed for optimal washing and are spacious, allowing you to wash several lingerie items at once without worrying about them tearing or deteriorating.

So here are some tips for storing your lingerie so it won't suffer the slightest over time:
*It's important to note that for padded bras, it's best to avoid folding the cups, as this leaves marks and deforms them.
·Avoid leaving the hook-and-eye closure strip unfastened; it could snag on other garments.
·Avoid piling things on top. When everything is squashed together, the bra can, in the worst case, deform or, in the best case, wrinkle and look "ugly."
Our best advice for proper storage is undoubtedly to store lingerie in specific organizers adapted for lingerie.
