A DIFFERENT BRA FOR EVERY BREAST TYPE

A different bra for each breast type

"Tell me how your breasts are shaped and I'll tell you what bra you need"

By understanding our breasts, we have the advantage of knowing which bra style will provide us with comfort, support, and also achieve the "look" we desire, especially when we want it. ;)

Every woman and every breast is different. And so now it's time to add the classic phrase... "what might look good on one woman may not necessarily look good on another" ... This is true, as many characteristics influence this, such as shape, size, breast root, and also external factors. These are the most common --- >

SHAPE: Round, Pointy, Athletic, Sagging, East-West.

SIZE: Large, Small, Asymmetrical.

ROOT: High, Low, Lateral, Close-set, Wide-set.

SURGERIES: Augmentation/Reduction, Mastectomy, Reconstruction.

Remember that at Singular you will always have plenty of women's bra options for you.

There are no written rules for the development and shape of our breasts.

Genetics, weight, hormones, age, the decision to change, and in some cases, illness all play a role... and no matter how they are, we must realize that they are AS UNIQUE AS THEY ARE NATURAL AND AS BEAUTIFUL AS THEY ARE INDIVIDUAL.

Yes, girls, regardless of their shape, size, root, or even any scars we may have, they are beautiful. Period!

Thanks to the photo we've attached, we hope you've been able to identify your breast type, although you probably already knew. There's no one better than ourselves to know what our breasts are like, right?

And, since identifying our breasts is no longer an issue (each of us knows our own breasts very well), it's time to talk about styles and patterns, what types of bras exist, and all their qualities.

WHAT IS A BRA PATTERN?

The pattern refers to the shape and care with which bras are made. This also determines the effect we are looking for, since depending on the pattern of the bra we choose, it will visually create one shape or another for our breasts.

Here are some examples of different bra cups -->

For some types of bras, there's the option to choose whether you prefer underwire or not, and the same goes for foam, all to your liking.

Below, we explain all the types of bras that exist, their functions, and for which breast type each one is suitable, and of course, our recommendations for them and the options you can choose from.

TYPES OF BRAS

Minimizer Bras (with and without underwire)

You could say that the pattern of this type of bra determines its name because they are usually made with 3 seams. The main or most important seam is found on the sides, and its great function is to clean up that area so much that, visually, it will appear to have "less volume."

You can also find minimizer bras with completely smooth cups. Don't be fooled by smooth cups; just because they don't have any seams doesn't mean they don't perform their function. In fact, they are made with fabrics capable of supporting the weight of the breasts and maintaining their shape in the long term.

IMPORTANT: A minimizer bra never flattens the breasts (many of us think this before trying them on). The minimizer bra will help to refine the figure, centering and always slimming the breasts.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND MINIMIZER BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for breasts of any shape, large in size, and although their root doesn't matter, let me tell you, it is especially designed for breasts with a lateral and wide-set root. It's your choice whether it has underwire or not. --

Foam Bras (with and without underwire)

Foam is the most common thin padding in bras. Its cups can be smooth, embossed, or lacy, and this type of padding does not increase breast size in any of its versions. Its main function is simply to round and prevent marks under any clothing. In fact, they don't increase the size so much that there are MINIMIZER BRAS WITH FOAM CUPS.

Normally, we find these bras with underwire, but if you prefer not to wear them, on our website you can find a generous number of models with foam and without underwire.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND FOAM BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for pointy, sagging, and east-west breast shapes, and it's also worth noting that it adapts wonderfully to naturally round breasts. Its size doesn't matter, and it flatters all breast roots as well as those with augmentation or reduction surgeries. —

Push-Up Bras (with and without underwire)

The well-known PUSH UP padding. With this type of bra, we are looking for volume, enhancement, and lifting it to the max—that's its function. It's a thicker padding located at the bottom of the breast, near the underwire. This is how it lifts and fills to create the visual effect of increased cup size. Additionally, there are various push-up levels. Depending on the volume you're looking for, it can even add up to 2 cup sizes! As with any type of bra, its cups can be smooth, embossed, or laced, and of course, you can choose whether you want it with or without underwire.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND PUSH-UP BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for any shape, small size, and of course, any type of breast root, but especially for low, lateral, or wide-set roots. --

Wireless Bras

These bras have become bestsellers this past year. The importance of wanting breast support while also being comfortable is paramount.

They are no longer considered "classic" bras, and there are fewer and fewer doubts about their support. Despite not having underwire, they have seams that simulate its function, preventing the breast from sagging and keeping it in place. As you have read previously, more and more types of bras are joining this "movement." We can find them with foam, without foam, smooth, with seams, in bralette cups, etc... although the "authentic" and best known is without foam.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND WIRELESS BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for any breast shape, regardless of size or root. It's perfect if your breasts are sensitive, you suffer from any type of allergy, you've had surgery, or you simply want to be comfortable, no more. --

Strapless Bras

IMPORTANT NOTE: A strapless bra is a must-have in our drawer.

It doesn't matter if it's winter or summer. For us, the garment matters. We're talking about a thin strap, a sleeveless garment, or a bandeau top, about having a clean décolletage, above all, we're talking about how the garment drapes over our chest, making it look clean, stylized. And for that, a good strapless bra is important.

If you have large breasts, you need to find your perfect size. To feel comfortable and secure, your breasts must be fully supported, and for that, it must fit snugly around your bust and cover your breasts perfectly. Choosing whether you want it with or without foam is up to you.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND STRAPLESS BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for all breast types. It's only important to find your perfect size to ensure good support (that's what we're here for ;) )

Let's not forget about BANDEAU bras, strapless and wireless bras.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND BANDEAU BRAS FOR?

--Recommended more for small breasts, also for sensitive breasts or those that have undergone surgery. --

Sports Bras

The function of this type of bra is super important. It ensures that the breast receives no movement, no matter how abrupt the exercise. It must keep the breast well-supported and in place without exception.

We explain the importance of preventing breast damage in a bit more detail in this post -- > click here (previous post)

There are sports bras with underwire, without underwire, with foam, without foam, front-clasping, back-clasping, with normal backs, and with cross backs. It will all depend on your taste and comfort.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND SPORTS BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for all breast types. I would add that, even though it's a sports bra and falls into that section, it doesn't have to be used only for that "service." Depending on your clothes and daily activities, it might be just what you need.--

Convertible, BACKLESS, or ADHESIVE Bras

These types of bras have been created solely for the purpose of providing maximum breast support while also allowing you to wear all kinds of garments. Very low-cut? A stunning back? Nothing resists them... it's crazy.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND CONVERTIBLE BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for all breast types. Additionally, if you already feel comfortable with a specific bra and only need to lower the back for an open-back garment, there are extenders that cross and leave the back exposed. They can be attached to the hook of any bra ;) --

NURSING and MATERNITY Bras

Bras made with pleasant-to-the-touch fabrics. Both during pregnancy and after childbirth, our breasts are more sensitive than usual, and it's necessary that these fabrics don't cause chafing or discomfort. As with all types of bras, it's necessary that they support the breasts; these are moments our body experiences, and we must be ready. It's up to us to choose how we prefer it, as they exist with and without underwire, as well as with or without foam.

Additionally, this type of bra fulfills a great need. With just a clip, we can unfasten the strap without needing to remove the bra, allowing us to lower the cup and feed our beloved baby without problems.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND NURSING OR MATERNITY BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for all breast types.--

Without forgetting that there are also NURSING and MATERNITY TOP-STYLE bras, which are also beautiful and very comfortable :)

PROSTHETIC Bras

Bras specially designed for mastectomy surgeries. Ultra-soft fabrics, cotton interiors with pockets on both sides to insert the prosthesis. Their format usually features full cups to cover the entire pectoral area.

VERY IMPORTANT! NO WOMAN IS OBLIGATED, MUCH LESS, TO USE THIS TYPE OF BRA, NOR A PROSTHESIS.

YOU SHOULD WEAR WHAT YOU WANT, HOW YOU WANT, AND WHEN YOU WANT.

This is just an informative post about the types of bras and their characteristics.

POST-SURGERY Bras

Post-surgery bras are quite comprehensive. They have a wide back, wide straps according to the size used, no underwire, and may have a kind of reinforcement on the sides.

Their main characteristic is that they fasten only at the front, always. After breast surgery (whatever it may be), it is painful to move/raise your arms, and believe me, this closure will be your great ally.

WHO DO WE RECOMMEND POST-SURGERY BRAS FOR?

--This type of bra is ideal for all breast types, although of course, it will be essential for anyone who has undergone or is going to undergo breast surgery. It should be said that, as with everything, it will ultimately depend on our own comfort. If this type of closure is more comfortable for you, why not? In addition, it is ideal for elderly people as well as others who suffer from back pain or other types of problems. --
